Up and Running in 3 Simple Steps
No technician needed. No tools required. Most people are done in under 10 minutes.
Connect your wall outlet to the included PoE adapter, then run a single Ethernet cable (up to 320ft, Cat5e or above) to the outdoor unit. One cable carries both power and internet.
Open the app or web interface, pick your preferred mode — Repeater to extend WiFi, AP to create a new network, Mesh to join multiple units, or Router mode. Connect wirelessly or via Ethernet.
Your backyard, patio, garden, garage, barn, and outbuildings are now fully connected. Phones, laptops, security cameras, smart speakers — all get strong, stable WiFi up to 1000 feet away.
*Outdoor range depends on environment, obstructions, building materials, and router placement. 1000ft refers to open-air line-of-sight. Actual coverage varies.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The Modem Boost™ Outdoor WiFi 6 Extender Pro works with any standard router from any manufacturer including Netgear, TP-Link, ASUS, Linksys, and all major US internet providers including Xfinity, AT&T, Spectrum, Verizon, Cox, Frontier, and Starlink. You don't need to replace your router.
Only to power the device. You run a single Ethernet cable (Cat5e or better, up to 320ft) from the included PoE adapter indoors to the outdoor unit. That one cable carries both power and internet data — there's no need for a separate outdoor power outlet.
Most customers complete setup in under 10 minutes. You mount the unit, run the Ethernet cable through a wall or under a door seal, connect the PoE adapter indoors to your router, and configure the mode through the web interface or app.
In open outdoor areas with clear line of sight, many customers achieve 300–600ft of strong coverage. The 1000ft specification is a maximum technical figure under ideal conditions. Buildings, trees, walls, and other obstructions will reduce this. For most backyards and gardens, coverage is excellent throughout.
Absolutely. The unit is IP67 rated — fully sealed against dust and able to withstand being submerged in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. It also has 15kV ESD and 6kV lightning surge protection. It operates in temperatures from -40°C to 55°C (-40°F to 131°F), covering all US climates year-round.
The unit supports up to 256 simultaneous device connections thanks to WiFi 6's MU-MIMO and OFDMA technology. For most residential and small business use cases, you'll never hit that limit.
We offer a 30-day money back guarantee from your delivery date. If you're not satisfied for any reason, contact support@modemboost.com to initiate a return. Items must be returned in original packaging. See our full Return & Refund Policy for details.
Yes, the Modem Boost™ Outdoor Extender is fully compatible with Starlink as well as all other satellite and fixed-line internet connections.
All orders ship from our warehouse in Eubank, Kentucky, USA. Orders placed before 11PM PST are typically dispatched the next business day and arrive within 4–7 business days with free tracked shipping.
AP mode requires a physical Ethernet connection to your router — it's more reliable and faster. Repeater mode works wirelessly by capturing and rebroadcasting your existing WiFi signal, so no cable run is needed but you may see a slight reduction in speed due to the wireless hop.
